Difference Between Viscose and Polyester

Viscose is considered the most natural fiber among all types of artificially produced fibers. Depending on the complexity of the weave and the thickness of the viscose yarns, various fabrics can be produced that closely resemble wool, linen, cotton, or silk in their properties.

Polyester:

Polyester fibers are produced artificially and form the basis of polyester fabric manufacturing. Due to the characteristics of polyester fibers, this material represents several fabric groups. It can be very thin and lightweight or, conversely, stiff and durable when woven tightly.

The biggest difference between viscose and polyester is durability. Materials based on cellulose fibers like viscose require delicate handling: they cannot be boiled or bleached. Polyester, on the other hand, is resistant to bleaching and boiling.
